At a glance

  • No registration.
  • Your media and personal records stay on your devices and in your iCloud.
  • Firebase and Mixpanel handle App analytics; GoatCounter counts website visits and clicks.

01Do I need an account?

No. The App works without registration and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

02Where are my records stored?

Your media, sound mixes, rituals, diary and panic history stay on your devices and may sync through your iCloud. Selected media and settings also transfer between iPhone and Apple Watch.

You choose what to save, edit, delete or export. The developer does not receive your library, diary, panic notes or trusted-contact details through the App and has no server for storing them.

03How does Apple Health work?

With your permission, the App reads heart-rate data and saves mindful minutes to Apple Health. Live heart-rate tracking on Apple Watch also needs workout access. You can change permissions in Health and system settings.

Saved heart-rate summaries and graphs may sync through iCloud and between your devices. Raw heart-rate readings, diary reflections and panic notes are not sent with analytics events. You choose whether to include notes and heart rate in an exported report.

Apple services follow Apple’s privacy policy.

04What analytics is used?

Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel show how the App is used. Firebase Crashlytics reports crashes and errors. This helps the developer improve the App.

Reports include device model, App and system versions, language, region, installation identifiers, errors and technical network information. Usage events record screens visited, playback sources and identifiers, duration and progress, settings, permissions, purchases and panic-support steps.

Ordinary analytics events do not include your name, email address or phone number. Apple’s vendor identifier (IDFV) links events from the same device, so these reports are not fully anonymous. Analytics starts when you open the App; there is no switch in the App to turn it off.

Mixpanel receives data through its European endpoint; providers may also process data in other countries. The App does not use analytics for targeted ads or sell it. Provider policies: Firebase and Mixpanel.

On this website

GoatCounter counts page views and clicks on App Store and Buy Me a Coffee links, including the page language and which button was clicked.

Statistics include pages, referrers, browser and system information, screen width, language and approximate location. GoatCounter uses no analytics cookies or browser tracking identifiers. It temporarily uses IP addresses to distinguish visits without storing them in its analytics database. App records, contact details and health data are not sent to it. Details: GoatCounter.

05What other services are used?

Apple handles iCloud, Health and payments in the App. The App does not receive your card details. Firebase Remote Config provides App settings. Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple deliver push notifications using installation identifiers and notification tokens. Local reminders stay on your device.

Playing YouTube videos connects to Google, which may process network information, playback activity and cookies. Its Google privacy policy and YouTube terms apply.

The website is hosted on GitHub Pages under GitHub’s privacy policy. It uses GoatCounter for analytics.

06What if I write to the developer?

The App does not send marketing emails. If you write to codedbear@icloud.com, the developer receives your email address, message and attachments to answer you.

An optional message with a coffee purchase in the App is sent to Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel with the transaction details for the developer to read. Please leave out health details and other sensitive information.

Buy Me a Coffee handles support through its website separately and may share your supporter details and message with the creator.

Your personal records are not sold or shared with advertisers.

07Can I delete my data?

Yes. Delete media and history entries in the App, and change permissions in system settings. Uninstalling removes the App’s local data. Copies in iCloud, Health, backups and exports remain until you remove them separately; reports already sent to analytics services are not deleted by uninstalling.

08Can I export my records?

You can export panic history as PDF or CSV and choose whether to include notes and heart rate. Device and iCloud backups are managed through Apple.

09Can this policy change?

Yes, as the App and the services it uses change. The latest version is published here with an updated date.
